Jazz Session

More of the same light wind conditions on Maui the past week. Just like the last several weeks, north winds made Kihei the best bet on Wednesday then winds clocked around a bit on Thursday to make the north shore a little more inviting. Still pretty light though. 5.7 and a mondo, floaty board weren’t enough for me on Thursday. I could be planing if I pumped like made and bore off. Winds got progressively lighter. Got one wave at Lowers and spent the rest of the session slogging back upwind.

Prior to going to Kanaha on Thursday I stopped by Hookipa to check it out. Even though conditions weren’t that great I was amazed to see only one guy out. Local Maui sailor Jazz had Hookipa to himself. The good sets were few and far between according to Jazz, but you gotta love it when you can score Hookipa all to yourself. Here’s a few photos of Jazz’s solo session.
